The Government of Peru continues to assess the effects from unseasonably heavy inland rains and associated flooding along the coastal areas of Peru. Rains are expected to continue for few more weeks. The most widespread, severe effects are in the northwest of the country, in the regions of Tumbes, Piura, Lambayeque, and La Libertad.
More concentrated incidents of flooding, mudslides, and inundated roads and bridges have occurred around Lima and the Ica Region. Some roads in the central highlands, especially in the regions of Ancash and Junin, have experienced travel delays and disruptions. Areas in the south of the country around Cusco and Arequipa have been affected less severely by the rains than areas farther north. Our Tours and treks in Cusco have not been affected at all, the trains are running as normal, tours visiting sites and we don´t have delays neither cancelations of our trips.

The majority of passengers choose the Day 1 tour visit of the Sacred Valley with the famous Pisaq Inca site and the typical Market where you have plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful products. Then on to Ollantaytambo Inca town (the living Inka village with so much character).
For those who are already doing this famous Sacred Valley tour on another day there is in this case the option to do an alternative Tour to Chincheros Inca town, Moray (Inka´s Farming Laboratory) and Maras Saltmines, then time to visit and explore Ollantaytambo ruins. This 2nd option has a supplemental cost though unless you form a group of 6 people. see more info below. Unless the Moray Maras tour option is specifically requested in the comments section you will be automatically confirmed with the Sacred Valley option. But if you prefer the Moray Maras tour option just let us know well in advance so we can form a group for your date and try to maintain the price.
This tour is a combination of the famous Sacred Valley Tour and the Classic Train tour to Machu Picchu plus Huayna Picchu, but with extra night in Aguas Calientes, gives you a full day in Machu Picchu to enjoy it from early morning to closing if you so wish! the morning train on the 3rd day allows you to enjoy all the travel moments in daylight which are spectacular so not to be missed!
Also This programme is more economical than the classic 2 day 1 night tour even though it includes 2 nights accommodation, because we use simple accommodation to enable travellers on lower budgets to also enjoy this tour but definitely recommend the upgrade accommodation options for those who would rather stay in nicer accommodation.
Huaynapicchu Ticket is included in this tour however for many high season dates June, July, Aug you need to book about 1-2 months in advance to guarantee the Huaynapicchu Ticket since there is limited availability.

In a tourist bus we travel over the mountains and then we drop 1500 feet to the valley floor of the Sacred Urubamba river and the village of Pisac where we will visit a traditional market and you can buy some local souveniers or just take post card pictures. We then drive up to the top of the mountain to explore the extensive ruins of Pisac with stunning views over the valley amazing temples, nobles residences and neiborhoods in a short soft walk. For those who would prefer to spend more time in the market instead of visiting the ruins, advise your guide so he can organize a time and place to pick you up when they return through the market. Early breakfast at 05:00 am, bus at 05:30 am for 30 minutes from Aguas Calientes to Machupicchu to see the sunrise and be the firsts when the Park is open, (we don´t recommend to walk from Aguas Calientes to Machupicchu, better idea is to save energies for the nice walks inside Machupicchu Park, Machupicchu is huge) 2-3 Hrs guided tour with an expert guide in english or in Spanish. Machupicchu, the lost city of the Incas, where the last emperors, priests and priestesses took refuge and where the empire survived for 40 years after the arrival of the Spaniards. Secret and mysterious citadel from the time of Pachacutec Inca Yupanqui (IX-Inca`s Dinasty) emperor, his presumed constructor. Then apparently its existence was even well-known only by the authorities and the priests of the Tawantinsuyo “The four lands of the empire”. Machupicchu prodigy of architecture of aesthetic recklessness and by the magestic and harmony of its forms, by the impeccable organization of its terraces, stairs, buildings, patios, passages that are set up in this nest of condors, surrounded by mountains, between the mountain range and the forest like but the extraordinary constructive feat of the pre-Hispanic man.
The Walk to Huaynapicchu mountain (please note that for late booking (2-3 months), when Huaynapicchu tickets are sold out we will get another option the walk to Montaña, also a nice and remarkable walk located at southern of citadel top right of Sun´s gate (entrance from Inca Trail) it takes 3 hr. (without a guide, the trail is clearly marked and there are a local park guides giving instructions if necessary and a lot of people doing this nice walk, free time to explore in your own, walk to Sun´s gate (part of the Inca Trail trek) extra walk to the Inka bridge returning back to Machu Pucchu following a path on the left direction, packed lunch included, By 17:00 Hrs Walk down for 1 Hr from Machupicchu to Aguas Calientes, At Puente Ruinas bridge you can visit a small Museum dedicated to Machupicchu´s discover and the Orchids Garden (15 Soles fee). 2nd night in Aguas Calientes.
