Aguas Calientes is set in 2,000 mts, then a shuttle bus will transport you to the top 2,400 mts back into the fantastic history to this magic place, sacred and mysterious town without name known as Machu-Picchu. “ The Old Sacred Mountain ” And your expert tour guide will guide you and help you to understand better this magical 7th wonder place. We can also arrange an accommodation in Aguas Calientes and organize your train return on the second day,so you have a full day to enjoy at Machupicchu citadel.
Transfer from your hotel at 05.45 am to Poroy Train Station. (1st Train leave at 06:40 am). The Vistadome train ride consists of a spectacular views in this wonderful land of the Incas, (has big panoramic Windows,snack service ) amazing landscapes of mountains and valleys, Inca farming terraces from Ollantaytambo on both sides of the valleys, snow capped mountains and sub-tropical jungle near the Ceja de Selva. See the Veronica snow capped mountain on the right side, and the famous Inca Trail trek starting point on the left side. From Pachar the Vilcanota river will be our companion until arrival at Aguas Calientes (2040m) well known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. Your guide will meet you at the train station and transfer you to the bus terminal then 25 minutes bus ride to Machu Picchu Citadel. (Bring your origunal Passport) A guided tour of Machupicchu “The Old Sacred Mountain” takes approx 2 hrs and then you have some free time for photos.
It is recommended to use the bus ticket down to Aguas Calientes town at least one hour before the train depart at 5.23pm. Return by Vistadome Train to Poroy station arriving at 8.50 pm and then private transport to Cusco arriving to Plaza Recocijo near Cusco`s main Plaza de Armas approximately 9.30 pm In this tour Vistadome train leave at 06.40am from Poroy train Station (near Cusco) and the later return Vistadome train departing Aguas Calientes 5.23pm, arriving back to Cusco around 9.30pm to allow enough time to fully explore Machu Picchu. Depending on ticket availability there may only be the 3.20pm train available or train to Ollantaytambo with transport from here to Cusco. (if you would prefer the earlier return at 3.20pm arriving around 7.40pm to Cusco then please indicate this very clearly in your reservation.
