Dear Irvin & SAS Team,
Thank you so much for the great service you provided during our 2 weeks stay in Peru.
We were really impressed how well everything was organized. With so many internal flights and connection we were always met by one of your partners without any delay . Thanks to your service we enjoyed fabulous Peru stress-free.
A special thank you to Jonathan, who promptly replied to all our inquiries and always been very helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed your country and certainly will recommend SAS Travel to anyone planning to visit Peru.

Amazing Trek with SAS Travel.
We did the 5D/4N Salcantay Trek with SAS. We preferred this over the Inca trail. Much more scenic, no crowds, private campsites, waterfalls, snow capped mountains, etc. SAS was everything we were hoping they would be. No last minute surprises, they were there at the airport, Hotel Marqueses was splendid, breakfast was great, the guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. The tents were spacious (4 person tent for 2 people) No regrets, we highly recommend. PS, Food on the trek was out of this world. How they can prepare a 5 course meal on a mountain using fresh produce was beyond us...
Dear SAS Office Staff and Team,
We just finished up your Lares trek this evening and I wanted to write to tell you what a wonderful group of staff members you have. I’m sure you are already aware but both of our guides, Julio and Felipe, were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and kind. It felt as though they constantly knew exactly what the group needed and made it happen and they were so positive during what I am sure could be a very difficult job. These type of trips depend so much on the outlook on the staff that lead them and I feel incredibly lucky to have had such wonderful guides.
In addition the food that was prepared by our chefs was so delicious and just to our dietary needs. We felt so lucky to try such delicious Peruvian food especially as vegetarians and have none better in Peru than on your trek. All of the staff were incredibly kind and friendly despite the hard work that they were doing and I would highly recommend every person that was a part of our team.
Thanks to you for putting together such a wonderful group of staff members and sharing them with us.
Words can not describe how amazing the Inka Trail hike is. with SAS. I had an incredible time. The trip was extremely well planned. Our main guide, Evert, was one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever met. There was not a flower he did not know or an anthropological, or archaeological, question he could not answer. After the Inka Trail with him, one should earn three credits for college. Evert was assisted by the caring and helpful Cesar.

My wife, son and I just took the 3 day / 2 night tour to the Sacred Valley, Inca Trail, and Machu Picchu. The experience was fantastic. Hiking the Inca trail, even for one day gave us a unique perspective to the area and history. Martin, our tour guide in the Sacred Valley was attentive and informative. Diego, our guide for the trail and sanctuary did a wonderful job telling us about the cultural and natural history of the area. Overall we would book again with SAS Travel. Thank you so much!

To really understand and appreciate nature and the amazing things that risk becoming extinct on our planet we must observe the Amazonian rain forest. The Amazonian rain forest produces 20% of the earth's oxygen while 10% of the fresh water which comes from the rivers empty into the ocean. The Amazonian rain forest boasts more than 25,000 different types of plants, 4,300 types of birds and 20,000 animal species.
The Tambopata National Reserve was created in 1990 and covers an approximate surface area of 1,480 million hectares, roughly the equivalent of 30% of the surface area of Costa Rica.
This vast region which is located in the Madre de Dios department, only 30 minutes by plane from Cuzco, is the most well-preserved zone of the Amazonian rain forest in South America. The amazing biodiversity encountered in this protected area is the result of its location between the "skirts" of the Andes Alps, the low floodable forest and the plain. Even a short visit to this reserve guarantees a moving and colorful experience.
The Tambopata National Reserve (RNT) is located on the banks of the Tambopata River, a huge protected area in south-eastern Peru.
Madre de Dios Department:
The intensive research on the flora and fauna in the upper and lower valley as well as on the banks of the Tambopata River has revealed an unbelievable abundance of ecosystems that are considered to be the most varied on the planet.
It is possible to observe rare groups of animals here, such as giant otters, sajinos, tapirs, anacondas, jaguars, small tigers, harpy eagles, boars, capybaras and ronsocos. They are all still present in this part of the Amazonian rain forest while they are disappearing from other parts of the world. The park's avifauna is amazingly diverse with 590 species.
The Colorado clay lick is the biggest in the world of its kind. It is 4 ½ hours away from our Cayman Lodge Amazonie. This is a particularly interesting zone to observe birds, including hundreds of parrots and colorful arras.
