Titicaca Lake-Puno 4 Days / 3 Nights Juliaca airport / Puno, Uros, Taquile & Amantani Islands, / travel to Cusco.
this package is specifically designed for those who are flying into Puno to Juliaca airport located 45 minutes from Puno
Package Includes shuttle transfer from Juliaca airport to Puno with tour and direct bus return to Cusco on last day. 2 overnight in *** Hotel in Puno and 7 meals.

The program includes a visit to a few of the 49 floating Uros Islands constructed with reeds before travelling on to Amantani Island. a visit to a few of the 49 floating Uros Islands constructed with reeds before travelling on to Amantani Island. Here you will spend a night in the home of a family on the Amantani Island, where Aymara, is the language so don`t worry if you don`t speak Spanish! (the guide also stays on the Island and ecoturism has forced the people to learn some english but they seem to understand all your needs so don`t worry). At 3800 meters above sea level, just walking from the shore to the home of your host is "breathtaking"! You will be reassured just to go at your own pace and your "mama" will wait for you, but she will always be at least a few steps in front! After a late lunch, you may dare to play a few minutes of football before you feel like you only have one lung and then it is optional to walk to the top of a hill to the temple of Mamapacha (the mother earth) to watch the sun set below the lake. Again at you own pace and obvious path so you may choose to skip the football and start in advance so you actually get there before sunset! Followed by a cultural night of fun before walking back "home".
Next morning visit to Taquile Island for the beautiful culture of the famous weavers and a trout lunch to remember before heading back to Puno.
Last day tourist transport with sites and guide on way to Cusco. Transfer to Hotel in Cusco.

Program Itinerary

Day 1: Juliaca airport to Puno

Arrival to Juliaca on what ever flight you have organised. We can provide quotes and arrange electronic tickets if you like if you still need flights booked. On arrival airport shuttle transfer from Juliaca airport to Puno.
Transfer to Hotel in Puno. Accommodation on double basis, private bathroom and breakfast. Hotel Qalasaya or similar. Short evening briefing for any last minute queries.

Day 2: Islands tour of Lake Titicaca Uros Island and overnight on Amantani Island

Between 7.40am and 8am Transfer from the hotel to the port and by motor boat we take you to one of the legendary Uros Islands where you can observe the lives of the Uros people who live on floating reed islands, some only 20 metres in length. After a beautiful 3hr boat ride we reach Amantani island where we will break into smaller groups to stay with the local families. You have the opportunity to trek to the top of the mountain (4150 mtrs) to see the Temples of the Pachamama and Pachatata and enjoy the traditional customs of the island people. Food and authentic music prepared and performed by your designated family. BLD

Day 3: Taquile Island -retun to Puno overnight

After breakfast we take a short boat ride to the neighboring Taquile island, where we will tour around the ruins and visit these beautiful people, world famous for their intricate and fascinating weavings, After lunch we take the return trip to Puno. Arrival in the afternoon and transfer back to hotel approx 5-6 pm. BL

Day 4: Puno to Cusco

Approx 7- 7.15am Transfer from your hotel in Puno to the bus Station to travel by the Inka Express VIP /service Tourist Bus to Cusco. Accompanied by an English speaking guide for tours of 3 sites along the way; Andahaylillas, Rhachi and Puka Pukara with spectacular views. (entrance to 3 sites not included = total $7) Buffet Lunch near Sicuani town. Arrival around 5pm Transfer to your hotel in Cusco.

  • Please avoid lollies /sweets.They really appreciate oranges and other fruit as it is impossible to grow on the islands in these altitudes.and it will save their teeth and their environment.

  • 5.- Check carefully that it does not say "incorrect cardholder" or "operation denied" as this means the payment was not successful. If the payment is urgent then ring us on Phone: 051 84 261920 or and give us the details over the phone for us to try and assist you quickly.
  • 6.- If the payment has not gone through and is not urgent... send it to us anyway but indicate that it was unsuccessful and try again rechecking each instruction. We will contact you with options until all is finalized.
  • There are daily departure but if you are booking at the last minute or in conjunction with another tour best to email: info@sastravelperu.com to advise you are registering this tour online. They will respond within 12 hours then to confirm everything.

  • Titicaca Lake Islands Puno 4 Day starting from Juliaca Airport 2011
  • 1. Please contact Efrain on info@sastravelperu.com
  • and send your flight arrival details (TIME / AIRLINE / FLIGHT #:/ DATE) to us once you have confirmed your flight into Juliaca, so we can confirm your transfer from Juliaca airport to Puno.
  • 2. Cost of tour is based on double occupancy
  • 3. Final payment of your tour can be paid in cash to our Puno rep on Day 1 of the tour in US$ cash or Peruvian Soles, ( 1 US$ = 3.0 Soles ) or if you are choosing to pay with credit card there is a 5% commission in this case and we need to finalise this one week prior to the start date. Please indicate to Efrain if you would prefer to pay the total by credit card or pay the balance in cash in Puno so this can be organised.
  • 5. Change of dates up to 5 days before departure is possible if there is availablity in the bus and accomodation for an alternative date but if this change is requested less than 4 days before the tour an administration charge of $30 per person would need to be paid.
  • 6. Cancelation of tour before bookings and tickets finalised incurrs only 20% of the deposit fee in high season this is generally before 1 month in advance of departure.
  • Cancelation of tour within 1 month to 7 days before departure incurs a loss of 30% of total tour cost
  • Cancelation of tour within 10 days - 1day before departure incurs a loss of 50% of total tour cost,
  • Cancelation of tour within 1day of departure incurs a loss of 80% of total tour cost, but you are provided with discounted accomodation in Cusco at Hotel Marqueses to assist as we assume cancelation at this stage is due to illness.
  • 7. In the case of Cancelation you are provided with a document to certify illness and present for your travel insurance claim.
