4 hours Tourist Expedition train ride approx into this spectacular land of the Incas, amazing views of valleys, Inca farming terraces, snow capped mountains, and sub-tropical jungle near the low Jungle. Aguas Calientes is set in 2,000 mts, then a shuttle bus will transport you to the top 2,400 mts back into the fantastic history to this magic place, sacred and mysterious town without name known as Machu-Picchu. “ The Old Sacred Mountain ” And your expert tour guide will guide you and help you to understand better this magical 7th wonder place.

Program Itinerary

Day 1: Tour to Machupicchu with a Expedition tourist train.

Transfer from hotel approx at 6.30 -07:00 am.
The train ride consists of spectacular views in this wonderful land of the Incas, amazing landscapes of mountains and valleys, Inca farming terraces on both sides of the valley, snow capped mountains and sub-tropical jungle near the Ceja de Selva. From Pachar the sacred Vilcanota river will be our companion until arrival at Aguas Calientes (2040m) well known as Machu Picchu Pueblo. Your guide will meet you at the train station and transfer you to the bus for 25 minutes to Machu Picchu. A guided tour of Machupicchu “The Old Sacred Mountain” takes approx 2 hrs and then you have some free time for photos.
Machupicchu, the lost city of the Incas, where the last emperors, priests and priestesses took refuge and where the empire survived for 40 years after the arrival of the Spaniards. Secret and mysterious citadel from the time of Pachacutec Inca Yupanqui (IX-Inca`s Dinasty) emperor, his presumed constructor. Then apparently its existence was even well-known only by the authorities and the priests of the Tawantinsuyo “The four lands of the empire”.   • Please be ready for your transfer from your hotel 45 mins before the train departure so as not to delay the transfer of other passengers.
  • Remember you must take your bus down 1 hour before the departure time of your train.

  • The train then descends from the highest point of the journey into the Sacred Valley and the foothills of the Andes. Before reaching Machu Picchu, the train travels along the Urubamba River, with awe-inspiring views of the dramatic canyon.
  • The other service is called Vistadome Valley and runs between The Sacred Valley (Ollantaytambo) - Machu Picchu. This service has several departure schedules and it's a faster trip to Machu Picchu.

  • Firstly.- Before you book your tour we urge you to read all the information, descriptions, general details, booking conditions and tour notes for your trip - available on our website.

  • Step 1.- AVAILABILITY: DAILY DEPARTURES !!!.
  • Step 2.- To REGISTER: Select the tour from the drop-down menu:
  • Complete the personal details for every person in your group using a separate Reservation Form and the Reservation Form will appear on screen with a ´Reservation Code` CLICK ON: AVAILABILITY AND BOOKING
  • You will receive an email shortly after, containing your ´Reservation Code` or ´Purchase Number` which you will need for step 3.
  • Step 3.- CONFIRMATION: To secure your reservations you need to pay a non-refundable deposit of US$100.00 pp with VISA or Master Card: ONLINE PAYMENT You only need to use one ´Reservation Code` to pay for all the party members. Or you can use each code to pay individually.
  • You will receive an email from VISA which advises whether your payment was successful. The subject will read -Confirmacion de Compra- but it must have an AUTHORIZATION CODE WITH 6 NUMBER / LETTERS e.g. Authorization Code: L24276 - which you must IMMEDIATELY resend to: office@sastravelperu.com
  • Holders of VISA cards need to be affiliated to Verified Visa before paying. Check carefully that it does not say ´non-authenticated`, ´incorrect cardholder` or ´operation denied`` which means the payment was not successful.   • If the payment has not gone through and it is not urgent then please send it to us anyway indicating that it was unsuccessful. You can try again rechecking each receipt. If for some reason the payment doesn´t go through, we will contact you.
  • SENDING A BOOKING FORMAT.- Send us a completed Booking Form by e-mail with all your personal and credit card details. The booking form can be found on our website or you can request it at: office@sastravelperu.com - This method is convenient for group bookings.
  • CONFIRMATION.- Once your deposit is received, your trek is confirmed and we will send a confirmation including the price itinerary and pre-departure information. (Your reservation confirmation will normally be sent within 1 or 2 days).
  • FINAL PAYMENT.- Please pay the final balance in cash (US$) on arrival to Cusco, a minimum of 2 days before your tour. We recommend arriving to Cusco 2-3 days before treks in order to acclimatize.

VALIDATED BY THE CONTROL OF THE PARK AND ONLY VALID IF YOU BRING THE ORIGINAL TO THE OFFICE 2 DAYS BEFORE DEPARTURE OR SCAN A CLEAR COPY OF YOUR VALID 2011 ISIC CARD THROUGH WITH YOUR DEPOSIT AT THE TIME OF BOOKING.
  • -A YOUTH TRAVEL CARD IS NOT ACCEPTED BY THE CONTROL.
