We highly recommend MARQUESES Boutique Hotel in Cusco, it is a beautiful and charming Colonial house built at the end of XVI century that has recently been restored and refurbished, located just one block from Cusco`s mayor Plaza. This great location is part of its popularity, close to all of the most important tourist attractions in the famous capital of Inca`s Empire. Hello David and Robyn,
My name is Cathy and I just returned from an amazing trip to Peru. I was lucky enough to randomly book the 8 day Cusco package through SAS which included the 4D/3N Inka Trek. First and foremost, I must say how impressed I am with the quality of service, professionalism of the staff and genuine sincerity of the tour guides and porters. The food was AMAZING and you truly have a very hardworking and dedicated staff. I will be sure to recommend SAS to my friends and colleagues.
Muchos gracias !! for a great experience.

“Hands down the best tour group to trek Macchu Picchu”
I've already sent multiple people with SAS on my recommendation and they all come back like I do: Singing their praises!
All of the trek companies basically offer the same package (hiking with food provided along the same trail), to the details really matter. Here is where I believe SAS is a cut above:
--Food: I really believe we ate much better than any other group I saw during our trek. On top of that, no one in our group was sick, despite the fact that they're cooking for a bunch of white people in the Peruvian mountains. That is impressive in and of itself, the each meal was unique and delicious.
--Group dynamics: They really try to have each tour be a group of people that will get along and enjoy each others' company during the trek. The guides are great, at least 1 per 8 hikers, and really add to the group in their own ways.
--Porters: They take good care of them and actually make them part of the experience, twice we all stood in a circle and introduced all of ourselves; we were a group making this trek together. The porters are hard working and encouraging; when you arrive into camp the tents are set up and they have hot water waiting for you to wash your face.
The Inca Trail Hike is an incredible journey and a lifelong memory. SAS Travel is the perfect way to experience it.
Hi SAS Travel,
Few days ago we finished a nice adventure in the mountains for me and my friends it was an incredible tour, Hilbert did a great job , serious, historical information of the archeological sites. The Inca trail is an amazing trip.
Awesome in every single way, would not change anything, meals were superb, coordinator Valerio he is very charming man, the porters are nice people and very friendly. Thanks, I would recommend SAS Travel, we made this adventure with the best company..

Completed the 4 day Inca Travel with my daughters yesterday. Delivered everything it promised, giving this over 50 an incredible life lesson ending in spiritual paradise of MachuPicchu.
Even the landslide which required some re-routing did not phase our excellent guides Rueben and Danny who ensured the changes proceeded smoothly while keeping a diverse but fun group entertained. This professionalism was evident in the way they assisted, but not rescued, me in overcoming the Dead Women's Pass on Day 2 in difficult conditions. (yes, I did choose the wet season)
Highly recommended for all who like a challenge.
Hola,
Just a quick message to say thank you for a fantastic four day hike to Machu Picchu with your company SAS Travel on 7th Nov 2011.
Your porters and guides were always so helpful, friendly, patient and professional.
I really liked the way the guides sat with us every evening, ate this is something I found quite unique about your tour compared to other tours I had done in South America the guides wanted to make us feel at ease and share a laugh or two about the days events!
The tour was so well planned out and no doubt you have heard many times the variety and quality of the food you provided was world class.
I would like to take this opportunity to highly recommend the two tour guides we had in particular Hugo Santos. He was an amazing guide so patient and kind to me when I found it difficult in places especially dead women's pass on the second day. He was with me every step of the way with a big smile on his face sharing words of encouragement with me........his kindness will never be forgotten.
Keep up the good work SAS !
I will continue to recommend your tours to fellow travels who ask for advise..
Thanks again, Nora Lennon.

2 DAYS SHORT INCA TRAIL- SACRED JOURNEY TO MACHUPICCHU
Inca Trail shorter`s version leaves from KM 104, located at 2100 meters asl (104 kilometers along the railway from Cusco to Aguas Calientes) and involves a 16 Km. 5 Km walk uphill to Wiñaywayna Inca Complex located at 2700 meters asl in approximatelly 4 hours of spectaculars views and Inca sites enroute connecting the classic trek at at the impressive Wiñaywayna.
After lunch a couple of hours of easy walk to Machu Picchu, for many hikkers the best part of the classic trek. (Wiñaywayna means “ Forever Young “ in Quechua, and the place is named after a pink and purple orchids growing around here.)
Farming terraces “ Andenes “ surrounding the whole side of a mountain decorating this ancient Inca castle with temples, buildings and water channels. The stonework is high in quality and fine masonry with a magnificent sequence of fifteen ritual fountain baths. It was a religious centre, probably associated with the ritual worship of water. Chachabamba, Choquesuysuy and Inti-pata are other very interesting Inca Complexes hiding in the middle of the beauty of the mountains and the lower part of the Sub-tropical valley.
We walk to Machu Picchu at early afternoon in the middle of beautiful nature, sounds of hummingbirds, peacefuly and uncrowded trail until “Inti Punku” the sun-gate, have unique views from this mountain top, after 40 minutes you will be on front of this wonder and majestic place for sunset, then we board a private bus to Aguas Calientes town. Spend the night in a comfortable Hotel Viajeros.
Next morning early we return to Machu Picchu by bus for a guided tour, visit and explore. private tour of Machupicchu with your expert guide, avoiding the large crowds that arrive with the first trains from Cusco. Free time to explore on your own. ( Goup size 6-8 )
If your interest is climbing to Huaynapicchu mountain book your Ticket directly with the Park.

" Viajero... los mejores momentos los creas tu !!!" Raffo Leon.
We`ll pick you up from your Hotel at 4:00 am to transfer you for a 2 hour journey by private van to the Train Station in Ollantaytambo then we`ll board a Tourist Expedition Train with reserved seats for 1 hour and 45 minutes to the kilometer 104 start of the hike. (This is the best train time and itinerary to start the hike by 08:00 am and have plenty of time to enjoy this fantastic trek) so please sleep early the night before) As soon as we arrive to this point we will cross a bridge to the check out point and show your passports then we will start a soft walk into the other side of the Vilcanota river the trail heads off to the right towards the ruins of Chachabamba, see the stone altar to the sun and the mountains a sacred rock for locals. After a visit in Chachabamba, we`ll continue the trail heads south and begin climbing the mountain, before entering the cloud forest. Then the trail leaves the forest and goes west while continuing the uphill hike in open grassland. After hiking in the sun for about three hours, the trail descends into a shaded forest. This is where trekkers can enjoy a beautiful waterfall. After leaving the waterfall and forest, trekkers will arrive at the lower part of the incredible ruins of Wiñaywayna. It is recommended that you start the trek with at least 2 litres of water.
After lunch in Wiñaywayna we continue through a cloud forest full of bromelias, orchids and fern trees. You will walk the last part of the original trail with amazing features stone steps and tambos “resting places” and climb the 60 steps before arriving to the Inti Punku or "Sun`s Gate". From this point you will be able to contemplate and observe this marvelous place, last 45 minutes to be on front of this wonder, where you can feel an inner peace. Spend a short time for pictures and views, with luck you can observe a magnificent sunset, then we prepare our mind for the next early morning, time to take a bus for 30 minutes to Aguas Calientes town.
