The Inca trail with Hilbert as a guide was for me a great and impressive experience that I will never forget! It really was a pleasure to listen to Hilbert’s enthusiastic stories about the Inca’s, the nature, the history etc. Besides he was very helpful and he was also really interested in everyone of our group. I would like to recommend this company SAS Travel Peru to everybody in the world. One more time thanks my brother mountain man..!

Just wanted to say THANK YOU! My friends and I had an amazing experience with SAS on our Inca trail. We could not have been pampered enough. The staff (Freddy and Ramirez) were very knowledgeable, helpful and fun. I will recommend you to everyone that I know.
PS Our rafting and Sacred Valley tour were unforgettable as well!

SAS had the job of looking after our family of 19.
12 went on the 4 day Inca trail and 7 did the 2 day trail. SAS also supplied the Sacred Valley and Cusco city tour for all of us.
In every way possible SAS exceeded our expectations and supplied excellent service. The guides went overboard to help everyone of us enjoy our Cusco/Machu Picchu holiday.
On the 4 day Inca trail Fred & Oscar did a marvelous job.
I can't thank SAS enough.
I highly recommend them to anyone visiting Cusco.

The Inca trail and Machu Picchu never would have been the same without Hilbert. He is the perfect combination of so many things! He is knowledgeable about everything from the history of the area to the different fauna and flora we would see. He provided spiritual insights but also made us laugh hysterically. He let those who wanted to move a little quicker go at their own pace but he also made sure everyone met up periodically throughout the day so we always felt like a unified team. He took care of everybody’s needs, which is not an easy task with a large group of people of different ages and backgrounds. Hilbert helped everyone feel comfortable and at ease. He is patient and incredibly caring. I was so sad for the trip to end! As difficult as it was, I’d do the climb again any day if I knew Hilbert was going to be my guide.
Thanks Hilbert...a big hug from USA.

We loved our guide, Roberto, and the Trek - fabulous! The food was awesome, and we were well taken care of by the entire staff. If you can hike 47 miles, do this Trek! It's a lifetime memory with Machu Picchu as the big bonus at the end. Have the donkeys carry almost all of your stuff so that you can just enjoy the hiking.read more

Many, many thanks for providing us with one of the most challenging, but rewarding and memorable, experiences of our lives. The trek and the sight of Machu Picchu early in the morning of the last day are forever engrained in our minds.
We would especially like to thank the two guides that encouraged us along the way. Angel was informative and instructive throughout the entire trek. We were impressed with his desire to impart his pride of local heritage. Eric was always there to support and encourage the group. Both men have a wonderful sense of humor and joviality. They should both be commended for their abilities and the warmth they showed toward our group. The food was fantastic- thanks to Jorge's magic. We both hope that Ronaldo will continue his studies- we think he will make a fantastic guide. Many, many thanks to you all for the trip of a lifetime.

I recently returned from the 5 day/4 night Salkantay trek and I can honestly say that my only regret is that the trek wasn't longer. My guide, Isaac, definitely made this portion of my trip to Peru the experience of a lifetime. His deep understanding and knowledge of the trail, flora and fauna, and Inka life and history vastly exceeded my expectations. If that wasn't enough the food, prepared and served by an amazing chef and his assistants, was delicious from start to finish. Especially for a vegetarian who is unfortunately used to bland and tasteless meals. So it was a pleasant surprise to be served one tasty and filling plate after another throughout this journey. Not only will I be recommending SAS to my friends but I hope to be back next year for another amazing experience discovering the beauty and rich history that is Peru.read more

Hello Robyn and David,
I am writing to say thank you deeply for a fantastic Inca Trail trip! SAS exceeded my expectations in many ways, and I really enjoyed the challenging and beautiful trek.
I want to especially acknowledge our group's guide, Javier. We were on the trail from Sept 3-7, and Javier was a large part of why our group enjoyed it so much. He is patient, intelligent and full of knowledge, humorous and kind. Please do give a note to him acknowledging his exceptional service. He really shines. Muchos gracias !

SAS Tours was AMAZING! Our guides, Freddy & Delmauro were incredible. They kept us laughing, upbeat & safe during our trek & were extremely knowledgeable about the trail, the plant life and the ruins. The food was unbelievable! I still can't believe they were able to feed us that well in the middle of the Andes Mountains. And the BEST CLAP for the incredible porters. It was the trip of a life time. Muchas Gracias a todos nuestros amigos a SAS!!!!read more

Hi team at SAS. We had a wonderful time on our Inca Trail Trek and beyond. The experience was so powerful, for many reasons. We had wonderful guides Eddy and James who were knowledgeable, fun and supportive. We had great food on the trek and helpful support from the office before and during our trip.
I suffered from the altitude from the start yet, from day 1 James was a great support. He was understanding, encouraging and compassionate for the many hours that I spent struggling on the trail. He was great company sharing history and other stories to keep me both entertained and enjoying the walk, despite my challenges with it.
I am so grateful for the care and support that I received which is one of the reasons that the trip is so memorable for me. That, the stunning landscapes, great food, the friendly local people and Inca history.
I would recommend SAS to anyone wanting to do the Inca Trail Trek.

Just wanted to say what a great time we had ! It was awesome watching the kids manage the trail so well. Our 12 year old made the trail seem easy. Our 5 year old also completed the trail on his own 2 little legs !! The porters were excellent, and the guides were great. Would definitely recommend SAS.read more

wonderful experience. We had 2 different guides. One on the bus trip to Puno where we stopped at several very interesting sites on the way. We had a wonderful lunch at a nice spot. Our hotel in Puno was first class (american standard) Our trip to the islands was wonderful. We got to see and live right in the culture. We had a wonderful experience staying with our family (the beds were comfortable). Our guide Blady was knowledgeable and lots of fun to be with. I would recommend this trip and SAS.
My one suggestion is to have a planned 15-20 minute stop on the way back to Cusco to stretch, get a snack/lunch and use the restroom.

Hilbert, thanks . This is my chance to thank you again for sharing your country, your culture, your thoughts and your friendship with me while I was in Peru. It turns out that one of my daughter Sara's good friends hiked to Machu Picchu a few years ago and YOU were her guide. It is a smaller world than we think. Good luck to you. Georgeread more

Asunto: Excellent Experience
I had an exceptionally good experience with SAS Travel during my stay in Cuzco of 23-28 July, 2011. Everyone in the organization with whom I encountered was helpful, friendly, and professional. My hotel stays in Cuzco and in Aguas Calientes were better than I expected and the guides on all the excursions were excellent. I will recommend SAS to all my friends who might be considering a trip to Peru. Muchos gracias !!

I don't know why it has taken me so long to post my comments about this adventure. I guess that 8 months on my kids continue to brag about it to their friends and to each other. I admit that I was really hesitant about the 4D/3N trail since we are a family of 5, the youngest being 12 and the eldest a type 1 diabetic. I have to say that the whole experience was absolutely flawless and we all had the time of our lives. We had 15 people in our group, ranging from 12 - 70 yrs and from all walks of life; by the end, we were all comrades! I have never, ever done anything so exhilarating and life-changing, and as a family! SAS Travel was top notch and we highly recommend its services. Our guides Eder and Wilfredo were extremely knowledgeable, caring and hilarious. LOS MEJORES GUIAS. We not only visited and hiked the Andes, we CONQUERED! Thank you SAS, Eder and Wilfredo for the best time of our lives and for truly making our dreams come true.
