SAS thank you! Nothing written here would be able to express the amazing experience of having Eddy G , Oscar and JC as guides on the Inca trek. Or being pampered by the Chaskey (group from Pisac) and being fed absolutely devine food by Julio and his assistant! It will always remain an unforgettable experience and only good things will be repeated about SAS by this satisfied customer! SAS was referred to my by a friend who was pleased with the experience and so it shall continue to be!
SAS gracias!

Dear Friends in Peru. I was in the Group to walk the Inca Trail from the 17/11-20/11 2012. It was absolutely wonderful, magic, interesting and a lot to learn. Thanks so very much for the amazing four days to our Guides Hilbert and Elvis. They were so helpful, patient, and lots of fun, and they also know the Inca History so well and tell it with so much passion that it is wonderful and very emotional to listen to them. The food was amazing, The cooks, chefs, porters, everyone in the BLUE TEAM was great and deserves a huge thank you and a big Hug from Australia. Also SAS Travel is an amazing Tour and Travel Agency and i will recomend you all over the world to all my family and friends. Thanks again and all the Best and a big Hug to you all.

Hi SAS Travel,
We complete the classic Inca trail with your company starting on 11th November and we would like to give great praise and thanks to Ruben, Roberto and the team they were exceptional!
We would especially like to mention how professional, knowledgeable and helpful Ruben was and how he made the tour even more exceptional. Having someone of his experience and passion really made the journey more enjoyable.
The food that was served to us was far beyond our expectations and the chef and team need to be thanked.
We were exceptionally lucky with a small group of 5 and had the experience of a life time.
Please extend our appreciation to your staff and we hope to use you again one day in the future.
Ben & Pamela Schoenhofer.

Hi Robyn and David-
On behalf of my group, I just wanted to send you a quick note thanking all of your team at SAS Travel for their great service last week. We had an unforgettable experience and much of our positive experience can be attributed to SAS Travel; from the administrators to the tour guides to the porters and cooks, everyone was so unbelievably accommodating, especially given our bad luck/special circumstances (i.e. considerable dietary restrictions/medical conditions as well as the tardiness/lack of our luggage).
Again, thank you all and we will be sure to recommend SAS Travel to our friends and family.
Sirisha, Luke and Sebastian.

Us city slickers were def not expecting the hike to take a toll on our lungs let alone our bodies. We were always the last on our group to make it to our check points, but nonetheless, we had a blast. THANKFUL for our awesome tour guides; Eddie & Edwin. They were very informative, nice & great to joke around with. Most importantly always there to help push & encourage us! the food they supplied was good and def better than expected. I give all the workers that do this hike as an income my biggest respect. one of the most amazing and challenging experiences ever.read more

We travelled with SAS from the 20th August until 5th September. The 5 day amazon experience at Cortos Maltos lodge was faultless. Cusco 7 day with short inca trail was the best part of the whole trip. Then onto Puno for 3 day Titicaca trip and finally Arequipa and Colca canyon trip. We had everything run to clockwork and picked up at every airport. The office is next door to Hotel Marquess in Cusco. All the drivers, guides and office staff so friendly. A special mention to Eddie our 2 day inca trail guide who was so knowlegeable and kept us safe,Manuel a charming friendly and knowledgeable guide and Soledad back at cusco office who never tired of my relentless emails.read more

Ed and I did this tour as part of our honeymoon and it was the best thing that we did in the three weeks we were in South America - it even rivalled visiting the Galapagos Islands!
Hilbert, our very knowledgeable guide was friendly and fun and looked after us and motivated us every step of the way.
The porters were wonderful and every time we arrived at camp our tents were set up, with our bags and beds inside and the food!! Wow!! This camp food was better than some food we have experienced in restaurants in Peru and UK! Every meal was different and plentiful with lots of choice.
We loved seeing Machu Picchu but to be honest, the four day journey to get there was as amazing as the final destination itself!!
Thank you Hilbert and SAS Travel for an adventure we will never forget!!!

We did this trek back in August. We highly recommend SAS. Our guide Victor was full of knowledge and helpful the whole way. We will never forget this trip and if you are up for the physical challenge, do it! It's a trip of a lifetime. Oh and Hats off to the porters! These men are impressive and we appreciated their services the whole way. Thank you SAS and we will direct any future travelers your way!read more

I had an AMAZING time on this trip in early July! We had an incredible staff (Isaac, Virgilio, and Wilbur) that took great care of us. They were patient, kind, and had everything prepared. The food was some of the most delicious we had on our whole trip to Peru. Even though some people in our group weren't feeling well, our guide, Isaac, managed to be accommodating, sympathetic, and gave assistance in the best ways possible. He was a lot of fun and I would recommend him to anyone! SAS Travel was a great deal and I feel so fortunate that we had this experience. Thank you!!read more

Machu Picchu had an air of mystery and intrigue that drew us in. However, rather than booking a train to take us on a day trip to the site, we decided to give the Inca Trail, an intense 4 day adventure through 10,000-14,000ft elevations, arid mountainous terrain, high jungle, That was the reality of the Inca Trail, and with my recently injured knees and left ankle, it was one of the most daunting and challenging experiences in my life. However, our party of 11 was blessed to have been led by Hilbert Sumire, a passionate tour guide (over 500+ treks completed!) and experienced archaeologist. Hilbert showed us how to appreciate the beauty of the mountains and Sacred Valley, the majesty of the apus (glacier mountains), and taught us to show respect for the Mother Earth. Through Hilbert’s guidance, patience and humor, the Inca Trail turned out to be a perfect example of the quote the “journey is more important than the destination”.
Thanks for this wonderful experience...

This review is a bit late as our group did the 4 days/3 nights classic Inca Trial to Machu Picchu back in Oct 2011. However, I had such a great time that it is worth coming back to leave a comment. Our guides Eddy 1 (Wilfredo) & Eddy 2 at SAS were knowledgeable and super helpful. My heart goes out to the chaskis who pampered us all the way from setting up and taking down our tents, preparing the delicious meals to bringing us warm water to wash our face each morning. Their strength and endurance for carrying the big packs amaze me to this day. Everything was very organized and executed. Muchas gracias a todos ^^
I love the Andes and will definitely go back for more trekking in the future. When I do, I would go with SAS again. Keep up the excellent services.

A big thank you to our wonderful guides Christian and Edi as well as the coordinator, cooks and helpers. We spent 4 unforgettable days In the Lares Valley and Machu Picchu, were served good creative meals and were taken care of really well - this in respect to our son's knee injury as well as other "slowdowns". My ride on amigo Chilii Pepper was so relaxing and helpful that I think of coming back and do another trek. Hurray to everyone at SAS and - keep on trekking.read more

To anyone thinking of trekking the Inca Trail I would wholeheartedly recommend the services of SAS.
In May I trekked the classic trail as part of the group raising funds for Macmillan Cancer Support and it truly was a memorable experience. Our Peruvian guides Fred, Ed, Rocko and Oscar were so knowledgeable and supportive, as was Marco. It is a journey that will stay with me for ever. I have wanted to visit Machu Picchu for personal reasons since I was a young child (in my 50s now) and everything really lived up to expectations.
The photo I've chosen to upload is very special to me as it was a cloud I noticed on the third day of the trek - a condor messenger?
Thanks to all at SAS
