Dear Irvin & SAS Team,
Thank you so much for the great service you provided during our 2 weeks stay in Peru.
We were really impressed how well everything was organized. With so many internal flights and connection we were always met by one of your partners without any delay . Thanks to your service we enjoyed fabulous Peru stress-free.
A special thank you to Jonathan, who promptly replied to all our inquiries and always been very helpful.
We thoroughly enjoyed your country and certainly will recommend SAS Travel to anyone planning to visit Peru.

Amazing Trek with SAS Travel.
We did the 5D/4N Salcantay Trek with SAS. We preferred this over the Inca trail. Much more scenic, no crowds, private campsites, waterfalls, snow capped mountains, etc. SAS was everything we were hoping they would be. No last minute surprises, they were there at the airport, Hotel Marqueses was splendid, breakfast was great, the guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. The tents were spacious (4 person tent for 2 people) No regrets, we highly recommend. PS, Food on the trek was out of this world. How they can prepare a 5 course meal on a mountain using fresh produce was beyond us...
Dear SAS Office Staff and Team,
We just finished up your Lares trek this evening and I wanted to write to tell you what a wonderful group of staff members you have. I’m sure you are already aware but both of our guides, Julio and Felipe, were incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and kind. It felt as though they constantly knew exactly what the group needed and made it happen and they were so positive during what I am sure could be a very difficult job. These type of trips depend so much on the outlook on the staff that lead them and I feel incredibly lucky to have had such wonderful guides.
In addition the food that was prepared by our chefs was so delicious and just to our dietary needs. We felt so lucky to try such delicious Peruvian food especially as vegetarians and have none better in Peru than on your trek. All of the staff were incredibly kind and friendly despite the hard work that they were doing and I would highly recommend every person that was a part of our team.
Thanks to you for putting together such a wonderful group of staff members and sharing them with us.
Words can not describe how amazing the Inka Trail hike is. with SAS. I had an incredible time. The trip was extremely well planned. Our main guide, Evert, was one of the most knowledgeable people I have ever met. There was not a flower he did not know or an anthropological, or archaeological, question he could not answer. After the Inka Trail with him, one should earn three credits for college. Evert was assisted by the caring and helpful Cesar.read more
"The experience was fantastic".
My wife, son and I just took the 3 day / 2 night tour to the Sacred Valley, Inca Trail, and Machu Picchu. The experience was fantastic. Hiking the Inca trail, even for one day gave us a unique perspective to the area and history. Martin, our tour guide in the Sacred Valley was attentive and informative. Diego, our guide for the trail and sanctuary did a wonderful job telling us about the cultural and natural history of the area. Overall we would book again with SAS Travel. Thank you so much!
We did the trek (4-day Inca trail, jungle and Colca canyon) a couple of weeks ago. Absolutely amazing. Very well organized and an extraordinary memory. Thank you sastravel, with John (Inca-trekk, nice, calm, caring and experienced guide. You are with us John!), Christian (Sacred valley, very good guide!), chef and porters. There is so much to say, but it is all superlatives.... I highly recommend you to friends who are asking about the adventure.read more
We trekked the Inca trail with SAS Travel in Cusco and it was a truly amazing experience, the food was top grade and the guides spoke excellent English and had great knowledge of the Inca sites and way of life which added a lot of value to the tour. Porters, cooks and guides are amazing. I would highly recommend.

We did the Classic Inca Trail 5day/4nights from July 24 to July 28, 2018 and had the most exhilarating experiences! Our guides, Levorio and Eder were absolutely incredible and were always a hoot. Everyone in our group of 13 got along perfectly. We had the time of our lives and I will never forget it!

Completed the 4 day 3 night Inka Trail. Amazing group, our guides Eder (very funny) and Javier were amazing hosts, they not only accommodated us in every way but also looked after us and kept us entertained. Eds knowledge was very useful. Our fantastic Chaskis (porters) were beautiful, very hardworking, humble men, always smiling. Our chef and sous chef prepared the most delicious and substantial meals, over feeding us. Definitely not what we expected. Would highly recommend. Thank you SAS for the experience.read more
Everyone at SAS Travel.
Thank you so much for making my Inca Trail experience SO WONDERFUL -
I had a really great time. Our guide Christian was hallarious, and kept everyone in really great spirits, even on the difficult days. People in other groups were staring at us,wondering where we found the energy to sing "in the Jungle" on the way up to Dead Woman's Pass, but it took our minds off the difficult climb ahead, and this was actually my favourite of all the days!! Please pass my thanks on to Christian and David, who kept me company at the back of the group.
Everyone I dealt with at SAS was just great - from my initial enquiries, to the guides, the cook and the staff at Aguas Callientes. It was a lovely treat arriving at the hostal at Aguas Callientes - I was expecting shared
dorms, but the private room with private bathroom were among the nicest rooms I've stayed in since I arrived on my budget holiday to South America.
I am really glad I spent the extra $40 or so to go with a trully exceptional company. I have already recommended SAS to other travellers and hope they
will do the same when they come down the mountain.

Words could never describe how incredible this adventure was in Cusco! I never considered myself a hiker or a camper but was looking for a challenge and a new way to explore the world. Sas travel are incredible and the people they bring together are amazing! They were easy to get in touch with when I had questions and made a scary experience so exciting! I would recommend an adventure like this to EVERYONE!
Thank you to Martin and Christian our guides Liliana and Irwin in Cusco office.
Really enjoyed the 2 day Colca Canyon tour.
Our guide Henry and driver Emanuel were outstanding. There were plenty of opportunities for photographs and/or just plain contemplation of the amazing sights we visited during the 2 days; I did not feel rushed at all. Henry was very knowledgeable of the sites we visited and provided plenty of explanations and comments. Emanuel drove us safely throughout the tour. Standard accommodations in Chivay for this tour were very good. Communication with SAS Travel, pick-up and drop-off in Arequipa were smooth. Thank you all!
Pick this tour group!
My friends and I had such an amazing experience with SAS Travel for our Inca Trail hike to Machu Picchu! They had every little detailed planned and had all tickets pre-printed for us so that we didn't have to worry about a thing. Our guides, Ed and Davis, were incredibly knowledgeable about all aspects of the Inca Trail and Machu Picchu. They also did a great job of making sure everyone in the group was comfortable and felt included. The food on our tour was INCREDIBLE. I felt like I was eating gourmet Peruvian meals during my entire trip, and these were especially appreciated after long days of hiking.
I feel like SAS Travel made a particular effort to ensure that their guapos (aka porters) were treated extremely well. They encouraged us to thank the guapos frequently and even to clap for them when they passed us on the trail.
I would highly recommend SAS Travel to any one considering hiking the Inca Trail!!
Worth paying for quality!
I did no planning I advance for my Machu Picchu trek and just hoped things would work out for the best in Cusco. There are a million companies in the city when you arrive and choosing one is a bit of a struggle. My hostel offered Salkantay treks for about $180, but they seemed to skimp on everything and have lots of hidden costs, so I paid more for SAS, which had a good reputation online. I definitely think it was worth it - our group wasn't too big (8), our guide, Edgar, was excellent, and food was really good throughout. We got the Machu Picchu sunrise at 6am, and it's worth paying for that once-in-a-lifetime experience. Great trip!
From April 28 until May 1st 2018 we walked the Inca trail with SAS Travel. It was a great outdoor experience! Our tour guides, Jhon and Edwin, spoke very good English and knew a lot about the history and Inca and Quechua culture. We had a fun hiking group of 9 people and the guides made sure that we all had a great time, taking into account everyone’s hiking abilities. The porters were quick and professional with the camping gear and woke us every morning with a nice cup of hot coca tea. The breakfast, lunch and dinner were of star restaurant quality, thanks to chef Julio! We would highly recommend everyone to do this trip with SAS Travel. Thank you! My son and I had a 5-day package. The tours were fantastic! All of the guides were knowledgeable, patient and provided an excellent tour and history of Peru. Hotel Marqueses was wonderful. The staff was very helpful. The hotel is beautiful and quaint. The highlight for us was the 1-day Inca Trail with Justino. The 1-day is a great alternative if you want to hike into Machu Picchu but are not up for camping out! The hike and scenery are fantastic! Justino is a great guide! I highly recommend this tour and SAS travel. Thank you for a vacation we will always remember.read more
I recently did the 4 day Inca trail. Our tour guide was Isaac, and he was teamed up with an excellent chef- Walter, and porter team lead by Benedict. Isaac was excellent, definitely seemed like he was the most well connected, and positive guide on the trail. Walter was super impressive! I couldn’t believe the quality and diversity of the food he was serving- unreal! Benedict lead a very happy and hard worker group of porters. Overall, kudos to the staff team that you employee.
I will write a review on tripadvisor as well.
Very well organized and executed. Cooks, guide and office staff were always quick with a solution and answered all questions. Of particular note, our guide Elias Lazo was both an expert in his country's history but an outstanding guide. I would highly recommend him. Staff and hotel accomodations at the Matqueses Hotel (two doors away from SAS office) was tremendous too. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed this trip.read more
